Dora

Dora the explorer as we used to call her at Strawberry was rescued from the middle east – she was blind, and her eyes were badly infected, so she got treatment and out vet felt she will be much better off with the eyes actually removed. She was such a happy and playful kitten after the surgery, so it was definitely the right decision! All she wanted was to play, and to cuddle, her handicap didn’t seem to bother her in the slightest (cats have amazing senses and can cope very well without sight). We found her the perfect new mum, who already had another blind cat, that’s what her new Mum has to say about her:

“We had been looking for a special cat to join our blind boy Bertie for a long time, and contacted loads of shelters trying to find the perfect little sibling to join our family. When Fiona sent me a picture of Dora, we instantly fell in love- she was just so adorable! Now I just can’t imagine life without her. She loves cuddles, snuggling in piles of clothes, pestering her brother, unrolling loo rolls to get the cardboard tube out, stealing my lipsticks and eating her own weight in food. I wouldn’t have her any other way.”
