Alice

ALICE GOES TO live with another elderly cat, as she has been adopted by Jade. ELDERY Persians who needed our help – she came in with 2 others and loves other cats. She so deserves a chance of a loving home for her months/years she may have left – we have done bloods (no renal failure at this stage) and fell dental and had her dematted etc… Jade applied and gave her a chance.

We collected them, having been told, again, that some other rescues would not take old persians in need. They were told, as usual, to phone us. We love old and ill but we are really struggling with cat bills including vet bills with us and at fosterers. Our vet is amazing and has been very flexible but we had to pay thousands off our vet bill this week.

We are now told by the previous owners that she is 14. She is great with other cats. She is a purry-love bug! She so enjoys love! Stroking and cuddles! Left neglected, fed on only cat milk. Not groomed and had oily mats all over her body. She could not move her arms and legs properly. She had claws grown into her pads, and was filthy. She had teeth falling out and broken. Eating must have been agony. Her previous owners told us they were homeless. She purrs constantly and is eating very well. She is happy and loves her food. She is a lovebug and adores tickles and attention!

We have funded full geriatric bloods tests and her kidneys are fine!!! Yay! We funded a full dental and she came through that well. She has been clipped and so has a lion haircut – with ugg boots and a furry mane, but a bald body! We have already spent about £400 on this little girl – but she is worth every penny. We are not going to vaccinate a Persian of this age, but she will be chipped before rehomed and flea and wormed.
